What is happening

The second batch of elephants for the Mysuru Dasara festivities has arrived at the Mysuru Palace premises, joining the first batch already in training.

The elephants train over several weeks to participate in the Jamboo Savari, the traditional procession that carries the deity's golden howdah through the city.
